What steps do registrars have to take before concluding service contracts?

Explanatory information is provided to service recipients before the conclusion of the service contract.

When concluding the service contract, the registrar must:

  1. verify the identity of the customers and make sure the customers are entitled to conclude the service contract;
  2. obtain confirmation from the customers that they accept the Regulation as binding for the procedures related to the domains they wish to create and manage. The confirmation must be expressed in such a way that this fact can be proven at any time during the term of the service contract;
  3. obtain the consent of the natural persons of the customers to the processing, use and disclosure of their data during the procedures. (P-28 of the Appendix “Registrars” to the Regulation).

During the term of the concluded service contract, the registrar is obliged to inform the domain holder of any changes or supplements to the provisions of the Regulation (P-48 of the Appendix “Registrars” to the Regulation).

During the execution of the concluded service contract, the registrar explains to the customer the conditions of the procedure that the customer initiates or orders (P-50 of the Appendix “Registrars” to the Regulation).
