European domain registry security experts met in Lithuania

“The 24th CENTR Security Workshop”, organised by the Council of European National Top-Level Domain Registries CENTR in cooperation with the Internet Service Centre at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) DOMREG, took place in Vilnius on 13 October 2022.

Presentations were given by Head of KTU Internet Service Centre DOMREG Tomas Mackus, Director of the Cyber Defence Department of the National Cyber Security Centre under the Ministry of National Defence Deividas Stumbras, and representatives of the .eu, .be, .fr and .dk domain registries.

Cyber security experts from Belgium, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Latvia, and Ukraine discussed important cyber security issues as well as had a tour of Vilnius and saw the first Lithuanian computer - the computing machine “Rūta”, which was developed in 1964 and mass-produced, and is now on display at the Energy and Technology Museum .
